Brief history of Woodchester:

When the group arrives at an investigation, our historian Diane, spends time alone with the custodian and is given the history and previous paranormal findings. These details are not made known to the rest of the group and its interesting to see what similarities have been experienced by our group members in the following pages.

Diane was shown around area by guide and was told the following:

Voices and noises have been heard in the cellar Area, in the room with frame on floor, questions are asked and taps have been heard in response. Fog/mist has been seen in thge room with two windows, on steps in right window area, one member of another paranormal group reported while sitting on steps a feeling of not really being there and other members of that same group reported they couldn’t see that person clearly as if they were fading away. Table tipping has also been done in this room with a lot of response.

In the kitchen and pantry area. many people have reported a feeling of wanting to be playful with leg swinging reported, during a seance one member was reportedly pushed to the floor by a weight on shoulders. A heavy energy has been reported in the arched doorway leading out of pantry area. In base room, a séance was held and a child called Louise came through, said she didn’t like how the house was now; she liked the old house where she used to live. Stones have been thrown in the long corridor and the main entrance door has been slammed shut many times on request, by someone called Maria or Moira. In chapel hall, there is a feeling of being watched, hair is often touched and footsteps heard. In Gargoyle room next to chapel an apparition has been seen and a woman reportedly rushes to the door when the name Anne is called.

Shouting and screaming has been heard from upper floors. A spirit lady has been seen at end by window, and a mans presence as also been seen, reportedly someone who murdered her. In this area a feeling of sadness and tearfulness is often felt by women, and many have had to be taken out of area because of becoming upset. Soldiers have also been heard marching outside of window on this level, and many unusual noises have been heard by window.
